This is one of my favorite berry smoothie bowls. I do my best to search out organic healthy ingredients to start my day off right. I love bowls because I can prepare the day before and make enough to freeze for the next few mornings. This particular bowl has the perfect combination of all my favorite berries… Blackberries strawberries & raspberries. For me, I like to add some vegan collagen powder, Ora Organic as well. I don’t always eat vegan but I try to create or find recipes that appeal to me and what I love about vegan options for most products you can find they are cruelty-free. This collagen powder found its way into my morning smoothies and bowls because it’s plant-based (better for digestion), it supports collagen production with its higher-quality ingredients, the vanilla (the only flavor) is delicious and it’s certified USDA organic, for the WIN!!!
If there are limited options when it comes to shopping at your local grocery store for organic try a few other stores that might not be as close as Whole Foods, Sprouts or Trader Joe’s. You can also look to your local farmers market or perhaps a local farmer’s box. I am lucky I like in an area where we have all of these options that makes it easy for me to show fresh ever3 or 4 days to get my produce, fruit, and veggies. Hope you enjoy this berry bowl. Let me know what you think! Add a picture as I love color.
Prep time: 5 minutes Vegan / Healthy breakfast
Ingredients
Smoothie
1 cup frozen blackberries
2 cups frozen strawberries
1 cup frozen raspberries
2 tbsp shredded coconut
1 cup plant-based milk of choice (good options are soy milk or coconut milk)
1 tbsp powder (optional I use collagen powder )
Toppings
Shredded coconut (as desired)
Granola (as desired)
Optional: Blueberries (as desired)
Make sure you use frozen strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries to achieve a thicker smoothie bowl. Leave them in the freezer for at least an hour before making your smoothie bowl.
Blend your ingredients together in a blender until you achieve a creamy consistency. Optionally, add two ice cubes for extra freshness.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl and top it with granola and shredded coconut. Additionally, you can use chopped strawberries. Optional tip: Blueberries are another great topping to add!
